There is nothing but relief that goes around when the rains come and flush out the heat this summer. Should we call ourseles short term luckies or long term unfortunates? The rain has startled the people with its much needed respite. Though we are wondering about what is to come, we are enjoying the new experience. At this time of the year we expect the temperatures to be soaring with the sun moving closer to the Tropic Of Cancer, in stead we are enjoying the bouts of precious rainfall in the region. The heat does not last long here. For a while now, we are seeing that with one day of high temperature a couple of days of cool cloudy, though sometimes humid, weather. How the weather will turn out in a couple of weeks, we are not to know precisely. But in the meanwhile there is nothing stopping us from enjoying what we have! There is not doubt that with the rains we have water borne diseases that come around so it is necessary to take those monsoon precautions. What damage the rain is doing is in the news. But what’s not in the news is that people are grateful to the rain gods who have spared us from the heat. Not everyone is miserable this summer. Many people have started complaining less about power cuts! The MC must be worried though. We might start complaing about water logging now.....
